Kayaking

Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park offer some of the most beautiful kayaking opportunities in the world. Paddle the shoreline of Caines Head State Recreation Area, glide along the cliffs of Fox Island or bob through ‘bergy’ bits while watching thunderous glacier calve in Kenai Fjords National Park. Half-day, full-day and multi-day kayak camping opportunities are available from mid-May through mid-September.

Surfing

That’s right, surfing is possible in coastal Alaska, and tours are available from Seward. Access by boat or helicopter is required for these remote location cold-water adventure tours. Don your wetsuit and get out there!

Skiing & Snowboarding

Snow graces the mountains around Seward year-round, and although skiing & boarding tends to occur from September through April, turns can be made every month of the year.
